The artwork for the cover and the special handstamp was done Ray Russell when he was 28 years old.
His brother E.J. Russell A.C.I.S. was the Co Sec and who arranged everything for the anniversary.
Ray was given the cover as illustrated by his brother for his efforts on the art work
Ray has gone on and made a living as an artist since 1976 starting with portraits then specialising in engravings of some 120 Dog breeds 20 cats and various Wildlife which have been sold worldwide
Included is an image of the original artwork Ray did, everything other than the insignia which was cut out and stuck on. The heading at the top and the two dates were done in ink and the building done in pencil. The draft was presented to the committee for approval which they duly gave. When it went to the printers Ray was told the drawing of the building could have been done larger and then reduced for printing. Ray did do a larger ink drawing which was used and retained by Trinity House.
