Trooping The Colour – Her Majesty The Queen’s Birthday Parade 2017

In partnership with the Household Division Charity, the British Forces Philatelic Service (BFPS) will again be producing the official commemorative cover to mark Trooping the Colour at Her Majesty The Queen’s Birthday Parade.

The cover bears an image that shows all the ‘Pomp and Ceremony’ that can be seen during this historic parade. The cover will bear a 1st class stamp, cancelled using a unique British Forces Postal Service special handstamp No. 3204. The Colour will be trooped by the 1st Battalion Irish Guards and the cancellation features their regimental capstar.

Versions of the cover for sale in the BFPS shop include the standard unsigned priced at £6 and three limited editions of 50 at £12 each signed by the following military personalities taking part in the parade:

• Major General BJ Bathurst CBE, Major General Commanding the Household Division.
• Lieutenant Colonel JAE Palmer MBE IG, Commanding Officer 1st Battalion Irish Guards. Field Officer in Brigade Waiting.
• Major CWEK Mulira IG, Commander of Number 1 Guard, the Escort for the Colour.
