Cover issued to Commemorate the First Leamington & Warwick Philatelic Society Exhibition which was held at the Dale Street Methodist Church Hall Leamington Spa.

The exhibition was open between 1030 hours to 1800 hours and the opening ceremony was performed by the Mayor, Ald Miss E L England.

Admission was 2 shillings for adults and 1 shilling for children which included a free programme.

The cover depicts an unusual fluted pillar box of 1871 still in service in Warwick and covers posted at the exhibition received the special cancellation based on the Victorian duplex ‘spoon’ number 444
