There was a special posting box at the St Lawrence Ground, Kent County Cricket ground  during a Gillette Cup Match where items posted would receive the special handstamp.

The  illustrated cover  produced which together with a 5d Canterbury Cathedral stamp  were available, also some covers were signed by the Kent and England Captain, Colin Cowdrey or signed by the entire Kent squad. There was also a cachet ‘Posted on the Ground’

A fully serviced cover unsigned was 5 shillings , signed by Colin Cowdrey was 10 shillings and signed by the Kent team, 20 shillings each
