Cachet on front of Cover Tillingham Penny Post
The stamp day took place at Plume School Maldon Essex on the 19th May.
For this one day there was a re enactment of the Maldon Penny Post with covers carried by foot and mail cart.
A set of eight covers with cachets and the special handstamp, one for each village that the mail passed through was available at £1.25
There was a special post box at Plume School where items posted would receive the special handstamp.
