Plympton Corporation issued an illustrated cover for use with this handstamp which was serviced with two Reynolds stamps 3p Self Portrait and the 7.5p Nellie O’Brien stamps.
The covers cost 25p each and needed to be ordered from The Publicity and Entertainments Department (Dept JR) Municipal Offices Plymouth PL1 2EW.
There was a special post box at the Guildhall Plympton St Maurice Plymouth Devon where items posted would receive the special handstamp
