BFPS
8 March 2022
In the month of March 2022 the British Forces Philatelic Service applied the ‘1000’ postmark to out going mail where collectors had purchased covers from them. Below is their press release.
BFPS 1000 is a handstamp that we can use at our discretion and is not often seen. During the month of March 2022 any order containing items from our pre-2012 commemorative covers or British Army Series postcards will be despatched using ‘lucky dip’ stamps from our legacy stocks. We have a selection of Royal Mail Personalised Smiler or Post and Go stamps that have been featured on previous covers, as well as definitive and commemorative stamps from the past. The stamps will be cancelled using the BFPS 1000 handstamp.
This is a great opportunity to buy a slice of military history at a reasonable price and to receive a not often seen rare cancellation handstamp on the packaging outer envelope.
Thank you for your continued support of military philately.
