75 Years of Army Officer Selection at Leighton House

2021 marks 75 years of British Army Officer Selection at Leighton House, Westbury in Wiltshire. To celebrate this occasion The Army Officer Selection Board (AOSB) has collaborated with the British Forces Philatelic Service (BFPS) to produce a commemorative cover to be issued on the 1st September 2021.

The cover bears images of Leighton House and its main gate, which is a listed structure. A Royal Mail 1st Class stamp will be cancelled by a BFPS special handstamp bearing the unique 3236 number and incorporating an Army officer’s ‘pip’ denoting the rank of Second Lieutenant.

Two versions of the cover will be available; a standard unsigned version (£8) plus a signed and numbered limited edition of 75 (£15.00). The latter will be signed by the President of the AOSB, Colonel Lucy Giles.
