There was a special post box at Brighton Station where items posted would receive the special handstamp.
6000 illustrated covers were produced that were carried on the train.
On 30th April a 15p yellow and black Railway Letter Stamp was issued for this last public run of the Brighton Belle
The cover cost 43p and could be purchased from the Assistant Station Manager British Rail Brighton BN1 3XP
