To mark the unveiling of a commemorative stone by the Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire, Cdr. Philip Franklin, the school; head teacher, Ryan Evans designed a commemorative cover and this postmark.
Serviced first day covers (Coincided with the new Horses stamp issue) were available from the school at a cost of 90p each or if signed by Richard Forshaw, ex member of the National Shire Horse Council £1.50 each
