Description

A special handstamp was used to commemorate the 15th Scottish International Scout Patrol Jamborette which was held between 19th July to 28th July.

Serviced covers cost 25p each and there was a camp post office which was operated by the scouts.

A Souvenir cover was produced and if collectors ordered all 10 covers they would also have received  without any additional cost covers bearing the two meter franking slogans publicising the Jamborette in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The official scout covers carried a special ‘Scout Post’ cachet used at the camp post office as well as the post office handstamp of Glasgow G3 7TY.
