Description
An illustrated cover was produced which depicts a balloon rising over the Lions International insignia and show Lions Club of Grantham Grantham’s First Airmail service in aid of Age Concern.
Covers were flown in Hermes a hot air balloon flown from the grounds of Belton House.
Serviced covers signed by the balloon captain cost 20p and covers signed by Lord Brownlow, the owner of Belton House, £1
There was a special post box at Belton House. where items posted would receive the special handstamp.
