Description

A special exhibition of the GB Coronation exhibition anniversary stamp designs and artwork together with the Crown Agents stamp was held at the Cameo Stamp Centre, 75 Strand London WC2 from 31st May, the release date of the new stamp issue.

It was opened at 1pm on that day by Jeffery Matthews the designer.

This special handstamp was in use together with a special first day cover both depicting the golden coach.

A limited number of covers were signed and numbered by Jeffery Matthews in aid of Multiple Sclerosis Society Jubilee Appeal for Research and were available from the Cameo centre at a cost of £1.75.
