The cover is addressed to the West Surrey Cheshire Home, this being because one of its residents went on the first phase of the Expedition as a Radio operator. The home also provided a room for the preparation of these covers and some of the residents assisted in putting on the stamps and labels

On the rear of the cover is a cachet -circle – Drake Plymouth Devon 22 SP 78
