The Reading and District Philatelic Society arranged a three day Exhibition to celebrate their 35th Anniversary.

The Mayor of Reading opened the exhibition on 29th March  which was held in the Great Hall University of Reading London Road Reading Berks.

Admission including a catalogue was 20p

An illustrated cover was produced which was available with the special handstamp dated for each day.

A serviced cover cost 12.5p each or all three for 35p.

There was a special post box at the University where items posted would receive the special handstamp.
