There was a four day exhibition at Leeds Town Hall from 13th – 16th May to commemorate The Leeds Philatelic Society’s  80th Anniversary.

Four illustrated special event covers were produced  each depicting an old print of Leeds Town Hall. The covers came in four colours, black, maroon, green and blue.

There were four different special event handstamps, one for each day of the exhibition.

A fully serviced set of 4 covers cost 5 shillings, a set of 16 covers , one of each colour on all four days cost 17s 6d. A single serviced cover cost 1s 6d
