Description

This special event handstamp commemorates the seventh exhibition of the Peterborough & District Postal Society and marking their 40th Anniversary.

The exhibition  was held from Thursday 10th April up to and including Saturday 12th April at the Peterborough Museum and was officially opened by Earl Fitzwilliam.

An illustrated cover was produced which depicted the society’s emblem and a fully serviced cover cost 1s 6d.

An unserviced cover could be purchased for 8d plus postage.
