The congress was held in the Pathfoot Building, Stirling University. The joint hosts were the Dumfries and Kirkcudbright Societies
The Congress was open from 1000 -1700 hours with the official opening at 1200 hrs by Mr C H C Harmer.
The cover depicts Robert Burns and his house in Dumfries and John Paul Jones father of the United States Navy and his cottage where he was born at Arbigland Kirkcudbrightshire. The handstamp shows his ship Ranger.
