The post office within the grounds of the Great Yorkshire show sold an illustrated cover with a 5d York Minster Cathedral stamp for 1 shilling.
Covers posted at the Showground Post office would receive the special handstamp of the show during its three days, 8th,9th,10th July.
The post office would except orders for serviced illustrated covers at 2 shillings per cover, requests being sent to the Head Postmaster Harrowgate
