Description
An illustrated cover and this special handstamp were produced to mark the first service of the Order of St John of Jerusalem in Lincoln Cathedral on 10th October
A serviced cover with a single 5d cathedral stamp cost 2s 6d whilst a serviced cover with 4 cathedral stamps cost 3s 6d each.
There was a special post box at the Cathedral near to the West door where items posted would receive the special handstamp.
