Description

The postmark and a special illustrated cover is to commemorate the row from HMS Discovery on the Embankment, near to Charing Cross up the river Thames to Kew

Proceeds from the sale of the covers with the special event postmark are in Aid of the £50000 fund needed by the sea Scouts, the HQ being on board HMS Discovery for a new longboat.

A fully serviced illustrated cover cost 2s 6d.

6 unserviced covers cost 4 shillings, 25 cost 15 shillings  and 100 cost 55 shillings.
