An illustrated cover was produced which was RAF Museum cover No 16.
The one day handstamp was used at a FPO stationed in the hulk of the sole surviving Southampton Flying Boat at the Henlow airfield.
A serviced cover which was flown by No 201 Squadron on an ocean flight cost 25p each the proceeds going to the RAF Museum Fund.
The covers needed to be ordered from The Philatelic Officer RAF Henlow Beds.
