This cachet copies the design of artist Janis C. Neill USA that was used for the Anchorage Captain Cook Bicentenary Committee USA FDC and event cover used earlier in 1978. This was not a cover issued by the British Forces.
BFPO location 1728 was used to link in with Cook’s year of birthdate.
